It is well said in the Sanskrit language that ‘यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते, रमन्ते तत्र देवताः। means ‘Where women are honored, divinity blossoms there‘. Our life without women is impossible. We all born from our mother, we raised with her love, kindness, and compassion. Mother is the first woman in our life who gave chance to come on this earth. She taught us how to walk, talk, eat, wear clothes, read & write, behave with others, and countless manners for our life.
In our daily life, we can see and feel the role of mother, sisters, wife, and daughter that how much they care and sacrifices their own life for the sake of their son or daughter, brother, husband, and father. They are happily ready to support us 24/7. Our first real teacher is our mother as a woman. In Buddhism, all sentient beings are considered as our mother sentient beings so we should respect all of them.
on the global level, we can see women’s contribution to the country and society. there are countless women who are serving as army, police, doctor, nurses, caretaker, cook, cricketer, farmer, educator, entrepreneur, and so on. Throughout history, the central role of women in society has ensured the stability, progress, and long-term development of nations.
The world’s society is mostly dominated by the male or men. So males still have the narrow mind thinking that women are for produce children and take care of the home. There is much domestic violence against women in the name of the dowry system, cast system, position, and power. Many young women being killed or burned by their in-laws or in the name of inter-caste marriage or love affairs. These things are outdated, not of much use in the 21st century. we should change our narrow thinking towards women. in the history most of the world wars or other wars happened due to men’s egoistic mindset.
I think it will be real Happy Women Day if we care for women, give them respect, education, position, name, and fame without any discrimination. If we do so then this will be really salutation towards women otherwise it will remain just lips service in the name of women’s day.
On this special day, I recall my mother’s kindness, love, and compassion. Due to her primary advice for my life, I am able to keep some amount of loving, kindness, and compassion for others in society. I also thank my direct or indirect sisters who support me thought life whether they are older or younger than me. Of course, very special my wife who took good care of me always, thanks a lot.
