It was a pleasant day today. My friends Ven. Gompo Tashi from Arunachal Pradesh, Ven. Tsewang Dorje from Ladakh, Ven. Rabyang from Nepal and Ven. Ga Rinpoche from Tibet decided to go for tracking on the Himalayan mountain. We walked all the way to this Hidden Natural Fountain, it took almost three hours from one side. We walk through the forest and beautiful village where we can feel the pure spirit of villagers who were working in their wheat, barley, and mustered fields. Just saying Hello and Tashi Delek to them. The way by which we went was very rough and tough to walk. from one side it’s around 6kms. sometimes I slipped hahaha but I managed to reach this fountain.
When I saw it, I just took a long breath and felt so fresh and clean. The place was very quiet and calm. I can only hear the sound of flowing water and the chirping of birds. This place was surrounded by high mountains and trees. We took a rest for a while and then jumped into the water. Oh, my Buddha! the water was super freezing! I felt that my body became a piece of ice. But I jumped again and again into the water and swim in it. I enjoyed it a lot with friends.
This natural swimming place is deep and slippery so need to be careful. I am not recommending children and who don’t know how to swim to go to this place.
While I was walking I saw beautiful flowers of rhododendron and others. The rhododendron grows in high mountains and it’s very beautiful when there are flowers. The local people use the rhododendron’s flowers for making the sauce (chatni). The flowers can be eaten directly. Its taste is a little bit sour. The valley was very beautiful due to the different kinds of flowers. March is the best time to enjoy such kind of environment.
This dog joins us halfway and remains with us till we returned back. This dog was so peaceful and cute. we feed him biscuits and bread. If anyone wants to visit this place then please contact me.
